Process

To Begin

Open the email from Theodore Dahmus—it is prompting you to begin the process. If you do not see it, check all inbox messages for the email address that you supplied. At times, this prompt may appear in the spam folder.

  1. Signers complete ID verification, including uploading photos of their driver’s license.
  2. Answering 5 questions is TIMED. YOU HAVE 2 MINUTES TO COMPLETE. You must answer 4/5 correctly. If you fail, do not panic. Contact the notary, and they will reset it. Please wait for them to reset. Do not start again on your own until told to do so.
  3. Signers accept their signatures and initials for the signing.
  4. Signers activate their webcams and wait for the notary to join.
  5. The notary joins once all signers complete ID verification and signatures are accepted.

Please ensure that your computer settings allow the camera to be displayed and the microphone to be used with your browser.

  • On Mac
    • Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera
    • Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone
  • On Windows
    • Go to Start, then select Settings > Privacy > Camera
    • Go to Start, then select Settings > Privacy > Microphone
  • On Chrome
    • Open Chrome, then click Chrome > Settings > Privacy & Security > Site Settings, under Permissions will be your Microphone and Camera settings

Make sure the browser is up to date.


Open Google Chrome, in the upper left-hand corner of your screen, click Chrome > About Google Chrome. A page will open and you will see if your browser is up to date. If it is not, please update it.

 

If multiple individuals are signing the document, each person must have a unique email address. The same email address cannot be used for multiple signers.
